Cast Announced for The Drowsy Chaperone
The cast for the Cape and Sword Drama Society's production of The Drowsy Chaperone has been announced. Opening on April 9, 2010, the Prep's performance will mark only the second time that this Tony Award winning show will come to a high school stage.

Tickets for The Drowsy Chaperone will be on sale starting in March.

Auditions for Sweeney Todd will take place on Monday, 9/14 from 2:45-6:30pm. Applications for Stage Crew and Production Staff are due Tuesday, 9/15 at 12 noon.

Auditions and Applications for Scapin
Auditions for the fall production of Scapin will be held Monday, September 15 at 2:40pm. Auditioners should come prepared with a comedic monologue. More information is available below.

Many positions are also available behind the scenes with Stage Crew (set construction) and Production Staff (stage managements, lights, props, etc.)

We are also seeking a piano player.

Cape and Sword Announces 2008-2009 Season
The Cape and Sword Drama Society has announced its shows for the 2008-2009 season. In the fall, Cape and Sword will produce Scapin and the spring show will be Urinetown. Scapin was adapted from a Moliere play by Tony Award Winner Bill Irwin while Urinetown concerns corporate repression and a socialist revolt in a futuristic society.

 

Tickets On Sale Now for Drood
Tickets are now on sale for the Cape and Sword Drama Society's production of The Mystery of Edwin Drood, which runs from May 8-18. Come join us for this whodunit comedy where you get to vote on the ending every night!

Auditions and Applications for Drood
Auditions for the Spring 2008 productions of The Mystery of Edwin Drood will be held on Monday, 2/25 and Tuesday, 2/26 from 2:30-6:00pm. Callbacks will likely take place on Saturday, 3/1 from 12:00-6:00pm.

Tickets for Death of a Salesman are now available for purchase online. Tickets will also begin in the Prep Treasurer's Office and in the Dining Hall during lunch periods in November. All tickets are $10 and seating is general admission.

Cape and Sword Announces 2007-2008 Season
This year for the first time in nine years, the Cape and Sword Drama Society will produce three shows - the fall play "Death of a Salesman" November 9-18, the fall play "12 Angry Men" February 8-17; and the spring musical "The Mystery of Edwin Drood" May 8-18.

Voice of the Eagles Now Playing at The Prep
In the Pulitzer Prize winning musical comedy, “How to Succeed in Business Without Really Trying (H2$),” the voice of the narrator is a prominently featured role. This spring, those attending the Cape and Sword Drama Society’s production of the show will be surprised to hear whose voice it is.
